Fire safety

Detection, suppression, compartmentation and evacuation: everything your building needs to be protected and compliant.

Share

We install and maintain fire safety systems in residential, retail, hospitality and industrial buildings. We work to the fire safety in buildings regime in force in the Azores (DLR 6/2015/A, Regional Legislative Decree no. 6/2015/A) and record each intervention in a report.

Gas extinguishing

Gaseous-agent suppression for technical rooms, archives and sensitive equipment.

  1. Most cafés, shops and small offices. A safety sheet and self-protection measures are enough; no SCIE project is needed.

  2. A SCIE project by a recognised specialist, hose reels and an SRPCBA inspection become mandatory. This is where you land if you exceed 100 people.

  3. Adds a wet riser, sprinklers in many uses, an internal emergency plan and drills.

  4. The maximum requirements and regular inspection every 3 years.

One rule: the category is the lowest one that meets all the criteria. If any one value is exceeded (height, people, floors below ground or fire load), the category goes up. Limits vary by type of space; the example is for offices.

  1. Alarm buttons, detectors and an emergency supply. Suits small low-risk premises such as shops, offices, cafés and restaurants in category 1.

  2. Adds a panel with timings and controls, giving staff time to check the alarm and trigger safety equipment.

  3. Covers the whole building, alerts the fire service automatically and sounds the alarm outdoors too. This is the rule from category 2 onwards in most uses.
