As local accommodation establishments are open to the public, it is important to ensure that the necessary conditions exist for this type of emergency. Therefore, all guests staying at their local accommodation must have access to a first aid kit.
It is also of equal importance to make sure that the kit meets the minimum requirements for handling health emergencies. According to the General Directorate of Health, any kit must contain at least: swabs of different sizes, plasters, an adhesive roller, non-elastic bandages, antiseptic solution, 70% ethyl alcohol, saline solution, blunt-ended scissors, tweezers and a pair of disposable latex gloves.
The kit must remain in an accessible and properly signposted place. Regarding the content, the quantities of materials, as well as the respective expiration dates, must be checked periodically.
